Work begins on the John Rylands Next Chapter project

We're working to improve our exhibition and event spaces so you can enjoy our collections better

From February 2024, work will begin on the John Rylands Next Chapter Project. While the work is taking place, we’re still open. We expect work to be completed in February 2025.  

Please note that the entrance to the building might change on the day of your visit. There will be directional signage to guide you to the building entrance. The temporary entrance will be accessible for wheelchair users. 

Enjoy our collections online and anytime by visiting Manchester Digital Collections and Manchester Digital Exhibitions.  

Researchers can still access our Special Collections and Reading Room.  

Our imaging services are still available.
