Have you returned with any new gadgets?

02 Jan 2024

If you've arrived back after a break with a new laptop, phone or tablet, we have instructions on how to get it set up on some of our IT services

Also, after returning from the break, you might have forgotten your password. If you have, don't be embarrassed; you aren't the first to do it, and we're sure you won't be the last!

You can recover your IT account and set a new password through the IT Account Manager, which will make it easier for you to get up and running again.

Anyone who uses their phone for 2-factor authentication will need to register any new devices they want to use.

If you have a new phone but have kept the same number, you can simply reinstall the Duo Mobile App and download your back-up Duo data from your cloud storage, if you enabled Duo Restore on your smartphone.

If you have a new phone number, or if you did not allow Duo Restore, no longer have access to your original 2FA Duo mobile app device and need to set up a new phone/tablet, Contact IT Services for assistance.

Next, you'll probably want to connect your device to the eduroam Wi-Fi network:

You might want to set up Microsoft 365 on your device so you can access Microsoft 365 applications, such as Word, Excel, OneDrive, Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, as well as all your documents and files:

After you've done that, if you want to access your University email on your device, we've got instructions for that too:
