Career mentoring for undergraduates – applications now open
09 Jan 2024
The programme is designed to match successful students with an industry professional to support them with their career planning and decision making
The Careers Service is delighted to announce the launch of their new Career Mentoring programme for first and second-year undergraduate students.
The programme is designed to match successful students with an industry professional to support them with their career planning and decision making, and provide invaluable, one-to-one coaching to help prepare them for their next steps after university
Once matched with a mentor, they can guide students towards making informed career decisions, help them navigate finding and applying for opportunities, and can provide their tips to help them succeed. They will share their own personal career journey, provide insights into both their current and previous roles, and highlight the decisions they have made and the steps they have taken to get to where they are today.
If you are in contact with first and/or second-year undergraduates, please encourage them to apply for this fantastic opportunity which will run from February to June 2024.
Applications close Monday, 22 January 2024.
If you are a staff member interested in becoming a mentor to one of our students, please complete our application form. It’s not only a personally rewarding opportunity to help your matched mentee navigate their future, but it can also provide development opportunities for yourself. Training and support will be provided, so please don’t be deterred if you haven’t provided mentorship previously.
