World AIDS Day
01 Dec 2023
Unite to support people living with and affected by HIV and remember those who lost their lives to AIDS
World AIDS Day will take place on Friday, 1 December and for several years we've raised thousands of pounds for this important cause.
In the UK, more than 105,000 people are living with HIV. Globally, an estimated 38 million people live with the virus. More than 35 million people have died of HIV or AIDS related illnesses over the past 40 years, making it one of the most destructive pandemics in history.
Following a lower collection rate last year and feedback from people preferring a cashless option, this year we have set up a JustGiving Page so people can donate to the National AIDS trust. You can then collect a red ribbon from the EDI team or a collection point/donation box will be in Christie Bistro.
