Wishing our colleagues and students a very Happy Diwali
We would like to wish all our Hindu, Sikh and Jain students and colleagues a very Happy Diwali. We hope that this Diwali brings you happiness, prosperity, and joy to you and all your family and friends.
About Diwali
Diwali is known as the festival of lights and lasts for five days. It is a celebration of a number of deities such as the famous story of Rama and Sita returning to their kingdom having defeated the evil ten-headed demon king Ravana. It is a reminder of the victory of good over evil, the new moon and new beginnings. Celebrations may include lights, gathering, feasts, sweetmeats, fireworks and Rangoli designs to welcome Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity.
