The new Fellows will work on year-long projects to enhance teaching and learning
Seven colleagues from across the University have commenced Fellowships with the Institute of Teaching and Learning (ITL).
ITL Fellowships are open to Academic and Professional Services colleagues. Fellows are appointed annually to develop and deliver a strategically-aligned project to enhance an aspect of teaching and learning across our University while working in partnership with students to effect positive change.
Introducing the 2023/2024 ITL Fellows and their projects:
- Karen Beswick (Faculty of Humanities): Developing the interplay between teacher and student feedback literacy.
- Dr Claudia Henninger and Dr Thomas Rodgers (both Faculty of Science and Engineering): Evaluating the Value and Impact of GTA Training and Mentoring; What is Efficient and Effective?
- Dr Alison Harvey (Faculty of Science and Engineering): Using reflective practice to build feedback literacy in STEM students.
- Dr Elaine Clark (Faculty of Humanities): Enhancing Confidence and Well-being Through the Creation of a Blended Unit.
- Adam Cooke (University of Manchester Library):Developing a co-constructed toolkit for in-course academic support.
- Rachel Parker-Strak and Rachel Studd (both Faculty of Science and Engineering): Empowering Students and Building Community: The ABC Tool Kit Concept.
- Dr John Roache (Faculty of Humanities): Out of the margins: harnessing methods of digital annotation as a means of amplifying the student voice.
