Pure research information system: automatic access
07 Nov 2023
We are pleased to announce that colleagues who hold a teaching, or teaching and scholarship role will have automatic access to Pure, our research information system
This means that these colleagues will now be able to populate their Pure account and create and manage an online public facing staff profile, where previously this was not possible.
This change expands access to Pure to the majority of academic colleagues and will now allow colleagues to take advantage of the many features of Pure including
- Creating and managing a profile on the Research Explorer portal.
- Recording and showcasing a wide range of activities via a set of newly created teaching and learning categories.
- Depositing and managing publication records, including being able to access altmetric and file download information.
- Create and manage their ORCID, and use Pure’s two way integration with ORCID to keep information up to date.
- Showcasing expertise against the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Pure can be accessed using your University credentials.
Support for new users can be found on the updated Pure Support webpages, where dedicated teaching focussed guidance has now been added. Users can continue to get help and support from the Pure Support Team (pure@manchester.ac.uk), including being able to request 1:2:1 support from the team.
This roll-out has been led by a group of academic colleagues who we would like to thank for their time and effort over the past 12 months.
