We have thousands of images available through our online library to enhance your presentations, documents or websites

Our asset management system (known as Chorus) is a source of curated, on-brand, relevant and up-to-date visual assets of our University for you to use, or external suppliers producing communications materials.

External suppliers may have access to the system but will require a member of University staff to fill in their access request.

The images have been optimised for use across University-branded websites or to illustrate documents and presentations.

You will find instructions for downloading images on Chorus.

Image use guidance

There are some limitations on how the images may be used:

• The University of Manchester and the individual photographers retain the copyright of the images
• The images are to be used only for University purposes
• Images can be cropped to size but should not be doctored in such a way which alters the meaning or presents the image out of context
• Images cannot be passed onto a third party (with the exception of University-approved external suppliers) or added to another image library
