Friday Forum: A series of workshops/therapies for staff

From 28 September in the Well-Being Room, Dover Street Building
As part of the Well-Being programme we are offering staff the opportunity to take part in a series of workshops and therapies at the Well-Being Room, Dover Street Building.
- 28 September, 1-4pm
Relaxation massages *
Treat yourself to a neck and shoulder or Indian head massage.
£10 for a 15min session. - 5 October, 1-2.30pm
Managing stress **
This workshop is an introduction to skills you can learn which can help you to deal more effectively with stress and to learn how to relax more easily. We will look at the most common patterns of thought, feeling and behavior that affect the way we relate to stress.
FREE. - 12 October, 1-4pm

How to care for your back ***
Learn the basics of back care including strategies to prevent further damage to your back. You will be taught simple and effective techniques to help ease/prevent back pain. Cost £5. - 2 November, 1pm-2.30pm
Mood on Food *
Advice and information on the effects of diet on mental well-being. This session will look at the link between stress and weight gain.
Cost £5. - 16 November, 1-4pm

Managing sleep problems **
Information and practical advice about how to manage sleep problems. You will get to try out some techniques in the comfort of the Well-Being Room. (we promise to wake you at the end of the session).
FREE. - 7 December, 1-2.30pm
Weight Management ***
Introduction to weight gain management, looking at weight gain and fat storage and how we maintain the correct weight through exercise and healthy eating.
