Whitworth Art Gallery, Oxford Road, Manchester M15 6ER
Rose Tremain, Literature Live - Manchester Literature Festival
Rose Tremain consistently approaches her subjects "from unexpected angles, concentrating her attention on unglamorous outsiders" (The Guardian). Her 14 novels and volumes of short stories include Music and Silence, which won the Whitbread Novel Award in 1999, and, most recently, the widely praised The Road Home, described in The Telegraph as "a finely balanced novel of urgent humanity."
This reading will be followed by a Q&A session led by Professor Patricia Duncker.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT TAKES PLACE IN THE WHITWORTH ART GALLERY.
Tickets: £6 (or £4 for concessions and University students and staff).
