Macmillan Research Unit hosts coffee morning on 28 September
06 Sep 2007
Take a well-earned break for the benefit of Macmillan Cancer Support
The Macmillan Research Unit based at Gateway House, Piccadilly South, will be holding its third Macmillan coffee morning on Friday 28 September, in the restaurant area on the 2nd Floor, Gateway House, from 10.30am onwards. Last year we raised £851.50 towards a total of £6.7 million being raised across the country.
In March 2007, a senior member of our team, Dr Bernadette Ryan-Woolley, died of cancer and we are holding this Macmillan coffee morning in her memory.
Everyone knows first hand just how devastating a cancer diagnosis can be. Thankfully, we also know that the generosity of supporters like you enables Macmillan to provide the expert care and emotional support that makes a real difference to people affected by cancer and their families. Unfortunately, the number of people living with cancer continues to rise and Macmillan needs our help more than ever before.
We would welcome your support for this event, so please come along and purchase a cup of coffee, a selection of homemade confectionery or Macmillan Cancer Support merchandise. There's also the opportunity to buy a raffle ticket for one of our fabulous prizes that have been donated. Tickets cost £1 for five and are available from:
- Centre reception, ground floor, Gateway House
- Station end reception, Gateway House
