Timetabling issues - update 4

29 Sep 2023

IT Services are investigating issues with timetabling

Update 4 (1.10pm, Wednesday 4 October)

Workarounds are currently in place for the allocation of students to small group teaching activities, and discussions are underway with the software vendor.

The Timetabling Team will communicate directly with the affected users with any further information.

Update 3 (10.30am, Monday 2 October)

The issue is still being investigated, and while there are still some delays adding small group teaching to student timetables, we have mitigation processes in place between school and University-level teams to minimise any impact.

Staff and student personal timetables are up to date and refreshing as normal; any student enrolling on or leaving a course unit will have the change reflected on their timetable overnight.

The Faculty Scheduling and Central Teaching Service teams retain access to the timetable and can process most timetable change requests.

Update 2 (4pm, Friday 29 September)

Work is ongoing to resolve the issue.

Update 1 (1.20pm, Friday 29 Septmber)

Work is ongoing to resolve the issue. We will keep you updated.

Original message (11.30am, Friday 29 September)

IT Services are investigating an issue which is resulting in some delays adding small group teaching to student timetables.  We will provide updates as soon as we have them.
