Careers Service: Getting Started Week begins 2 October
25 Sep 2023
Helping students get started planning for their career
As we prepare to welcome students to campus for the new academic year, the Careers Service are pleased to announce details for Getting Started Week. Students are encouraged to join us week commencing 2 October for events and support to help them get started planning for their career.
In recognition of how many of our students often feel a little lost or unsure of what they would like to do after university, Getting Started Week provides the opportunity for students to get to know themselves better through self-awareness activities and to feel more confident planning for their career.
During the week, we will have three interactive Career Planning sessions held on campus: Where to start, Exploring your personality type, and a Masterclass session. Additionally, there will be an afternoon of online one-to-one appointments for students to meet with a Careers Advisor for tailored support and advice.
The week’s events will be beneficial for all students, whether they’re in their first year and at the very beginning of their career journey, or are due to finish their studies next summer and now thinking about what’s next, the sessions are designed to help them figure out their next steps.
Please encourage students to attend the week’s activities, we’re here to help them get started regardless of what stage they’re at thinking and planning for their future.
