Welcome Guide for new colleagues

A new online guide for colleagues joining our University has been launched

The University Welcome Guide gives a range of information about our University which new joiners will hopefully find interesting and useful whilst they settle into their role.

It features sections on our University history and heritage and our purpose and values as we enter our Bicentenary Year in 2024.

It also showcases our full range of benefits, wellbeing offer and learning and development opportunities.

The link to the Guide, which is easy to use on all devices including mobiles, is being sent to new joiners with their contract email and is also available on the induction pages of StaffNet.

Faculty welcome guides are currently in development and will be published over the coming weeks. 

We are also working on new guidance for managers to help them plan a great induction and for inductees giving them information about what to expect from their first few weeks and months with us.

This is all part of work to improve the new starter experience to help colleagues feel welcome and supported.
