Bank holiday options, savings for families and some new discounts

Lifestyle discounts with Vivup

You can access hundreds of high street and supermarket discounts, plus save on attractions and days out with our provider Vivup. Go to vivup.co.uk and simply register with your university or personal email address. You will need to enter your employee/payroll number when registering - you can find this on your payslip online or staff ID card.

You can save at the following supermarkets:

  • Asda, Iceland, John Lewis, Tesco - 4% with e-voucher
  • Morrisons, Sainsbury’s - 5% with e-voucher (plus 5% with Morrisons fuel card)
  • Marks & Spencer - 7% with e-voucher

You can also save on attractions (with advance booking) via Vivup, including:

  • Alton Towers - 47%
  • Warwick Castle - 33%
  • Sea Life Blackpool - 10%   
  • Crystal Maze - 41%
  • Harry Potter Warner Bros Studios - 5%

UniDiscounts

The UniDiscounts are being updated and we welcome any feedback on local offers to add to our listings.

VIP Whirlpool

The Hotpoint Privilege Purchase Club is now known as VIP Whirlpool. Over the August Bank Holiday weekend the discount on white goods will increase to 30%. 

RAC

There is an RAC preferential rate that finishes at the end of August. Take advantage of the Vehicle Benefits special offer, which sees each discounted RAC breakdown cover level reduced by a further £10.

Beauty

You can continue to save 20% at the Sassoon Salon in Manchester and Buddha Beauty Skincare. 

University attractions

Manchester Museum has a full calendar of free events and activities running until the end of summer.

A jam-packed schedule of events is on offer at Jodrell Bank. Join their experts as they go solar observing at The First Light Pavilion. Enjoy exciting planetarium-style Dome Shows exploring topics such as Climate Change and the Origins of Us. And every entry ticket purchased online is valid for a whole year.

Free activities and drop in sessions are taking place at the Whitworth for families. With a PLAY Market area, sketching stations, Whitworth Minecraft and a sensory play area for babies, there’s something for all the family.
