New café opens in Manchester Museum

The Manchester Museum café opens its doors today (Wednesday, 2 August)

The Museum café will serve up a delicious range of dishes produced by our team of in-house chefs, alongside freshly ground coffee and hot drinks. 

The café has a full vegetarian and vegan menu with a focus on using local suppliers such as Manchester Veg People and Silver Apples Bakery, and a changing seasonal menu. All drinks are carbon footprint labelled, and the menus will also have labels shortly.  The café’s mission is: ‘We aim to purchase and serve responsibly sourced food and drink without compromising the future of our planet’.

Menu highlights include the Museum breakfast, baked artichoke dip, and noodle salad with peanut satay sauce. There's also a selection of freshly made sandwiches, cakes, pastries and chef’s soup of the day.  

The café opening times are:

• Tuesdays 8am – 5pm
• Wednesdays 8am – 9pm
• Thursdays 8am – 5pm
• Fridays 8am – 5pm
• Saturdays 8am – 5pm
• Sundays 9am – 5pm

Along with the Museum, the café will be closed on Mondays.
