Book now: social responsibility and civic engagement – cultural engagement
06 Jul 2023
Our next session will take place on Thursday, 13 July at 12pm
Following our previous social responsibility and civic engagement information sessions which have taken place over the past few months, we are now inviting colleagues to attend our sixth session – cultural engagement, which will take place online on 13 July at 12pm.
Chaired by Dr Julian Skyrme, Director of Social Responsibility, members will have the opportunity to hear directly from three different people who will offer up pioneering examples of our University’s cultural and creative engagement, which will come from Creative Manchester and from programmes at our cultural institutions. Colleagues will then have an opportunity to ask follow-up questions.
The cultural engagement session is part of a series of open sessions where you will be able to gain a greater understanding of social responsibility and civic engagement at our University, hear how our social responsibility and civic engagement strategy results in real actions and impact and see how we are making a difference regionally, nationally and internationally.
Who should attend?
These sessions are aimed at all staff and students who are interested in how our University is making a positive difference to society and the environment through our Social Responsibility and Civic Engagement Plan. The content will be useful to anyone who wishes to find out more about the impact of our social responsibility activities, key people behind its delivery and our plans for the future.
Chaired by senior leaders, the sessions will be delivered by managers and beneficiaries of our programmes to provide real-life examples of our impact. There will be time for Q&As and feedback. Each session will last approximately 45 minutes.
