Eid Mubarak to our Muslim colleagues

We would like to extend our warmest wishes to all our Muslim colleagues who will be celebrating Eid Ul Adha this week. May this joyous occasion bring you immense happiness, peace, and blessings.

Eid Ul Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is one of the most significant religious observances in the Islamic calendar. It commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God's command. During this sacred occasion, Muslims from around the world come together to remember the inspiring story of Prophet Ibrahim and his unwavering commitment to God. They gather for congregational prayers, engage in acts of charity, and share meals with family, friends, and the less fortunate. It is a time of deep reflection, gratitude, and unity within the Muslim community.

For those who may not be familiar with the traditions of Eid Ul Adha, it is a beautiful opportunity to embrace diversity and learn about the customs and practices of our colleagues. By fostering understanding and appreciation for one another's cultures and beliefs, we can continue to build a more inclusive and supportive environment within our university community.

Once again, Eid Mubarak [“eed moo-bah-rak”, meaning “happy Eid/blessed Eid”] to all those observing Eid Ul Adha!
