Introducing Managers Need to Know

A new communication and engagement channel for our University’s line managers
'Managers Need to Know' is a new monthly newsletter developed as a regular and effective way of engaging with line managers across the University.
The channel has been designed to support greater communication and leadership, recognising the vital role our people leaders play in providing regular guidance and support to their teams.
Containing essential information and updates specific for line managers, this new channel will set out what they need to know, what they may need to do or action, and what information line managers should be cascading down to their teams.
The newsletter will feature key updates and reminders from People and Organisational Development, Learning and Organisational Development, Estates and Facilities and IT Services, as well as other key areas that are aligned to our business needs and priorities.
If you are a line manager, you should receive the first Managers Need to Know by email later this week.
As well as receiving the email, all line managers will also be asked to complete a short survey about the new channel to ensure that it helps them to do their jobs and support their teams.
