Free sanitary products available on campus for staff and students

We're helping to tackle period poverty by providing free sanitary products
We believe everyone should have access to sanitary protection during their period. But many are experiencing period poverty and are unable to access or afford them.
Periods are a part of life but they shouldn’t be a point of inequality, compromise your quality of life or be a distraction from making the very most of your time spent at university. Because of this, we’re launching a new scheme as part of our Cost of Living support package to help tackle period poverty across campus.
- Following a successful pilot scheme, we’ll be providing free sanitary products in 100 toilet facilities across campus from Monday 27, March 2023 - you can find out where on our interactive map.
To help us support as many people as possible, please only take the products that you need.
The sanitary pads we’re using will be supplied by Hey Girls, based on their price, environmental and social responsibility credentials - you can find out more on the Hey Girls website.
Give us your feedback
If you have any feedback about the scheme and how it works for you, we would like to hear from you.
