Applications invited for the post of Non-Residential Tutor
Applications are invited from academic, academic-related or research staff of The University of Manchester for aNon-Residential Tutor post at Oak House.
Tutors work as part of the welfare support team in each residence. Duties include assisting in the pastoral care of residents, working with the Junior common room or Residents Association, and helping to foster a community spirit of living among students. Applicants should be sociable and interested in student affairs. They should also be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and experience of team-working. Non-residential tutors are expected to have the same responsibilities as those tutors who are residential.
The post is available from the 1st September 2007 the appointment in the first instance is for one year. A superannuable and taxable honorarium is attached to the post.
