Updated course: Research Integrity training

28 Feb 2023

The course is a mandatory requirement for all colleagues whose role involves research

Our University expects the highest standards of research integrity and expects all research to be conducted in accordance with the ten Principles set out in the Good Research Code.

In 2019, our University implemented mandatory research integrity training for all staff whose job involves research.

Staff need to complete three core modules of the Research Integrity, Second Edition course as provided by Epigeum. These are Good research conduct, Irresponsible research practices and Scholarly publication.

All other modules are available to staff who are advised to take as many modules as they think are relevant to them, in addition to the three mandatory modules above.

Completion of the mandatory modules will be monitored by the Research Governance, Ethics and Integrity team. Training needs to be repeated every three years and colleagues will be sent reminders when they need to repeat the training.

Further information:

  • Instructions on how to register for the course are on our Research Integrity website. Failure to follow the step-by-step guide provided on the Research Integrity website may result in you not being able to register and complete the mandatory training.
