What is Fairtrade Fortnight?

Fairtrade Fortnight takes place this year from Monday, 27 February until Sunday, 12 March and aims to spread a simple message: choose Fairtrade. Fairtrade works with farmers and workers so they can improve their living standards, invest in their communities and businesses, and protect our shared environment. Fairtrade achieves this by rallying a global community of millions – farmers and workers, supply chain partners, brands, retailers, shoppers, schools, government – to pay fair prices and uphold fair production standards and practices.

Did you know?

Food on Campus Mcr and its selected suppliers offer many ethical, organic and sustainable product ranges on campus. For example, Food on Campus Mcr only sell Fairtrade hot drinks, fruit juices, bananas and sugar.
