Online event: Being Muslim at Manchester with Chancellor Nazir Afzal
01 Feb 2023
Providing a unique opportunity for all colleagues, both Muslim and non-Muslim, to come together to discuss shared experiences and learn more about how to be a truly inclusive university
There are positive developments taking place with regards to faith and our University. We are keen to look at advances in the last year and the priorities moving forward for Muslim staff on campus, particularly as part of the newly-launched EDI strategy.
This panel discussion will focus on what it means to be Muslim at our University, and will touch upon the 2022 theme of Islamophobia Awareness Month (IAM), ‘Tackling Denial’.
Join us on Monday, 6 February at 12pm - register to attend in advance via Eventbrite.
Panellists include:
- Nazir Afzal OBE, our University's Chancellor
