Share your experiences and help shape our University’s EDI chartermarks
The Directorate of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is running a programme of focus groups which will form an essential part of our University’s ongoing work on EDI and our EDI chartermarks.
The chartermarks play an important part in helping us to better understand where the University is doing well with EDI and where there are ongoing challenges with representation, progression and inclusive cultures and practices.
There are two upcoming sessions which are open to staff from any area, staff group, grade or protected characteristic group. These will be held on Tuesday 24 January, 1.00-2.30pm (in person) and Wednesday 8 February, 12.00-1.30pm (online).
The views we gather will be handled in a respectful, confidential manner and will feed into the actions plans we develop as part of the charters to ensure that the University is a great place of work and study for all its staff and students. View the focus group FAQs for further information.
Please note: sessions focused on particular protected characteristics such as race and ethnicity and disability are being run with staff and students working with the relevant staff and student network groups between November 2022-March 2023.
