Graduate Outcomes Survey: What you need to know

Help us promote the largest annual social survey in the UK
What is Graduate Outcomes?
The Graduate Outcomes Survey is a national social survey that asks all graduates from UK higher education institutions about what they have done since graduation. Run by The Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), Graduate Outcomes captures the perspectives and current status of recent graduates 15 months after they finish their studies.
The survey is of national significance, as it helps universities evaluate and promote their courses, and is used by charities, journalists, researchers, and the government to under the higher education sector and graduate labour market. The results also help prospective students gain insights into future career options.
These are only some of the reasons why we need your help to encourage graduates to complete the survey.
How can you help?
Promote the survey on social media. If you manage any social media channels that may have graduate engagement, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, help us spread the word. If you are connected to recent graduates on LinkedIn, you can also share a post via your personal profile if you wish.
Who is being surveyed?
The next cohort of graduates to be surveyed includes anyone who finished their course between August and October 2021. They have three months to complete the survey: from Thursday, 1 December 2022 to Tuesday, 28 February 2023.
*During the survey period, the University is not allowed to contact graduates directly. This means that between December and February, we can’t speak directly about Graduate Outcomes to any individual graduates, but we are allowed to share on social channels.*
How do graduates complete the survey?
Each cohort has three months to complete the survey, which is emailed directly to graduates and takes around 10 minutes to complete.
