Volunteers aged 30-65 required for research on mind-body relationship

05 Jul 2007

Participants will receive £15 for one experimental session and questionnaires

We are currently looking for volunteers, aged between 30 and 65 and not currently experiencing any physical symptoms, for a study investigating the relationship between physical symptoms and attention to the body.

The study involves attending one experimental session (held at the Wellcome Clinical Research Trust, adjacent to Manchester Royal Infirmary) and filling in some questionnaires at home. The experimental session will take two and a half hours in total (although this can be split into two separate sessions if required), and involves some computer-based attention tasks, some questionnaires, and an interview with one of the research nurses. You will be paid £15 for your participation.

This study has received ethical approval from the School of Psychological Sciences Research Ethics Committee (ref. 227/06P).
