Teaching Excellence Awards Ceremony 2022

21 Oct 2022

The Teaching Excellence Awards 2022 took place in the Whitworth Hall on Thursday, 20 October, with colleagues coming together to celebrate their peers’ extraordinary contribution to teaching and learning

Teaching Excellence Awards ceremony

Teaching Excellence Awards are made in recognition of significant and sustained commitment to excellence in the delivery and/or support of teaching and learning at Undergraduate or Postgraduate Taught level. Academic, Technical and Professional Service colleagues are eligible for the award.

The event was an opportunity to formally recognise the efforts of the winners, who were announced in July.

Before presenting the winners for Individual and Team awards, Professor April McMahon, Vice President (Teaching, Learning and Students) said: “Once again, we received a truly impressive range of nominations from colleagues involved in teaching and learning across the university, whether that be from staff in Academic or Professional Services roles.”

“It was a pleasure to see how many took the time to draw attention to the hard work of their peers in this way: thank you to those of you who are here today to celebrate with your nominees.”

“Our thanks to all of the nominees for their valued contributions to teaching and learning at The University of Manchester.”

Congratulations to winners, a synopsis of each winning nomination is available by clicking on their name or by visiting the ITL website.
