Have your say – over 5,000 colleagues have so far

06 Oct 2022

Your opinion matters

Staff Survey

Over 5,000 colleagues have completed the Staff Survey so far – will you join them?

This is your opportunity to be totally open and honest and tell us what’s working and what isn’t. Whether your feedback is about the good aspects or the things we need to improve, your answers are invaluable and helps us to make our University a better place to work. Everything you say will stay completely confidential as your responses will go straight to People Insight who are running the survey for us.

Our survey is open until Sunday 16 October, so please take 15-minutes before then to give us your feedback.

The more honest you are, the more valuable this survey is for everyone here. So please, tell us what you really think and have your say.

Win an iPad

Every week of the survey, those who have completed it are eligible to be entered into a prize draw. So far, we have four winners who are due to collect their iPads.

Week 1 – Maddison Coke, Experimental Officer in the National Graphene Institute

Week 2 – Evaldas Simanavicius, Researcher in the Department of Chemistry

Week 3 – Daniel Johnson, Teaching Assistant in the School of Computer Science

Week 4 - Maheen Hussain, Executive/Senior Progamme Administrator in AMBS

Charity donation

We are supporting Re-write Cancer as part of this survey which means that £1 for every completed survey goes towards helping to create a new life-saving cancer research centre, right in the heart of Manchester. We are also continuing our pledge to plant a tree for every survey completed. This is in addition to the 6,500 trees already pledged from the previous survey.

Coffee and cake

Everyone who completes the Staff Survey will be eligible to claim a hot drink and a cake at our Food on Campus outlets. Just show your Staff ID card to redeem it before the survey closes.

How do I complete the survey?

How long does it take to complete?

It takes around 15 minutes and you should be given time as part of your working day to complete it

Why should I complete it?

Your individual responses are completely confidential, but your collective responses help build a picture about what is working well and what we could improve at a School, Directorate, Faculty or University level so that we can put together action plans to make a real difference and make positive changes.
