Welcome to our new-look Campus Support and Security team

From today, the Security service will be known as Campus Support and Security to highlight the key role they play in the safety and wellbeing of students and colleagues
Alongside providing security across campus, we hope this shift in name also shines a light on the invaluable safeguarding role they provide, such as:
- providing reassurance and first aid when students or staff are injured or unwell
- providing support (particularly out of hours) when welfare problems arise
- providing advice when students need immediate guidance and support on or around campus
- ensuring students and staff wellbeing and safety across campus
The Campus Support and Security team will also have a new uniform, which moves away from the black, police-style uniform previously worn, this is to emphasise and promote the role of the team in providing personal wellbeing, welfare and safety support, as well as the University’s security.
These changes follow feedback from students, including the Students Union Executive team, after discussions about how we can ensure the Campus Support and Security team are inclusive and approachable for all students.
