Would you like to be part of our University’s 2022 Community Festival?
The Community Festival returns to campus as an in-person event on Saturday, 25 June 2022. Following the success of our previous festivals, we are looking for staff to be involved in this year’s event.
As part of our commitment to enhancing our relationship with members of our local communities, we hold a Community Festival in June each year. We welcome over 2,000 visitors find out about our work, have fun and try out some of our activities.
This year’s Festival from 11am-4pm will be centred around University Place, Williamson Square, Alan Turing, Royce Hub and MECD. We will also host a mini Manchester Museum marquee.
As a Community Festival Ambassador you will provide a friendly, positive and knowledgeable welcome to all our visitors, provide information and signpost people to activities, and help with the setting up and taking down of the event.
“I had a great time … I’d love to be a part of it again.” - Community Festival Ambassador 2019.
You do not need to be available all day, specific time slots can be agreed but we would ask for a commitment of at least 4 hours. You will be fully briefed and you would be expected to attend one of the briefing meetings prior to the event. A light lunch will be provided on the day.
