Intermittent IT connectivity issues - update 2

IT services are investigating intermittent issues some people are having accessing University services

Update 2 (1.30pm, Tuesday 12 April)

A workaround has been implemented to fix the issue that some people have been having when connecting to University services offsite. 

  1. Click the GlobalProtect icon in the Windows taskbar (usually in the bottom right of the screen) or the macOS menu bar
  2. Click the three horizontal lines icon
  3. Click Refresh connection

If you are still experiencing issues, then firstly try rebooting your computer, otherwise contact the IT Support Centre.

Update 1 (12.10pm, Tuesday 12 April)

We're continuing to investigate the issues that some people are having when connecting to University services from off campus. As soon as we have any more information, we will post it here.

This is mainly affecting people who are off the University campus, and is affecting services including (but not necessarily limited to) WakeIT, Remote Desktop, shared drives, P drives and IT Support Portal.

This is under investigation and we'll post more information when we have it.
