New calls
Those that are of interest to AMBS colleagues include:
Leverhulme Trust Major Research Fellowships – deadline of 13 May 2022
The scheme looks at supporting well-established, distinguished researchers in completing a piece of original research.
Fellowships are particularly aimed at those who are or have been prevented by routine duties from completing a programme of original research.
Simon and Hallsworth Visiting Professorships – deadline of 20 May 2022
This scheme is intended to enable eminent scholars with an international reputation to visit the University to assist in research and teaching.

Hallsworth Conference Fund – deadline of 20 May 2022
The scheme looks at drawing together a wide network of international researchers tackling major issues that are likely to have a lasting and significant research impact.

British Academy / Leverhulme Small Grant – deadline of 1 June 2022
The scheme looks at supporting primary research for up to 24 months welcoming applications from £500 - £10,000.
The first round of applications opens 6 April 2022 with a deadline of 1 June 2022.
A second round of applications will open 7 September 2022 with a deadline of 9 November 2022.

Other Useful Updates
New Researcher Development Team
The newly formed Researcher Development team will provide and facilitate personal, professional and career development training and opportunities for PGRs, research staff and research fellows with a particular focus on personal and professional development which complements the training and development provided within the research group. Support for research staff includes workshops, one-to-one CV advice and careers support and the research dissemination and collaboration funds
Research Risk Profiler, a new tool that helps researchers navigate complex risk and compliance for research.
Horizon Europe
Horizon Europe have announced an extension to the guarantee to a second wave of eligible, successful applicants to ensure that important international collaborations can continue and to provide reassurance for future collaborations.
