Be part of our most moving graduations ever
21 Mar 2022
Join the processions for our rescheduled graduation ceremonies following the COVID pandemic and watch from the best seats in the house
Join the processions for our University’s rescheduled graduation ceremonies and watch graduation from the best seats in the house.
Having studied for their degrees throughout the pandemic, we want to give our students the best possible celebration of their achievements. However, we still have a number of processions that need to be filled up to ensure we give them a superb and very special memory.
The role involves gowning up and processing along with the mace, the Presiding Officer, Tailored Speakers and Presenters and taking a seat on the stage for the duration of the ceremony.
Take part
To take part, please email alumnievents@manchester.ac.uk with your availability from Monday, 21 March to Friday, 8 April and we will assign you a ceremony.
Here is the information you need for your participation on the day:
Head to Committee Room E in the Whitworth Corridor no later than 20 mins before your scheduled ceremony is due to start. Collect your gown and then you will be placed in the procession by a member of the Graduation Team onsite on the day.
When the ceremony is finished, the procession will walk through the Whitworth Corridor and you can return your gown to Ede and Ravenscroft.
