Athena Swan, Disability Confident & the Race Equality Charter: Wednesday 9 March
04 Mar 2022
Join our University Academic Leads for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for this charter marks update for International Women’s Day
In this hour long online session starting at 10am on Wednesday 9 March, University Academic Leads for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Dr Rachel Cowen (Gender and Sexual Orientation Equality), Professor Dawn Edge (Race Equality) and Professor Alys Young (Disability Equality) will discuss the importance of the Athena Swan Charter, Disability Confident and the Race Equality Charter and our submissions for these charter marks.
This year's International Women's Day campaign theme is #BreakTheBias.
#BreakTheBias is the start for a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination; one that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Difference is valued and celebrated.
We are all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day and we can break the bias in our communities, our workplaces, our schools, colleges and universities. Together, we can all break the bias - on International Women's Day and beyond.
