Deadline approaching: Rewarding Exceptional Performance scheme
22 Feb 2022
The deadline is Friday, 25 February for submitting nominations
Adèle MacKinlay, the Director of People and Organisational Development said: “The last two years have been incredibly tough for us all. Individuals and teams across our University have all worked incredibly hard - everyone’s contributions during these difficult times are appreciated.”
Line managers are now asked to consider those individuals and teams within Professional Services (PS) who may have performed particularly exceptionally during this past year and nominate them for an Exceptional Performance Award.
Applications should clearly demonstrate how and why a colleague’s contribution has been truly exceptional and has particularly stood out in a very challenging year.
Successful applicants for the Rewarding Exceptional Performance Scheme (for one-off initiatives) will be awarded a payment up to the value of one increment on the appropriate salary scale. Where a member of staff has shown Sustained Exceptional Performance, they will advance to the next point on the salary scale (for those at top of their scale, a contribution point). An appropriate payment may also be split between a team where there has been a combined achievement.
Nominations are welcomed for PS staff until Friday, 25 February 2022. Applications for PS staff will then be assessed by Local Management Panels. The nominations for academic and research staff will be reviewed by School and Faculty Promotions Committees who will share their timetables locally.
