Students' Union: Meet the Mayor

On Monday, 31 January, the Students' Union are hosting Greater Manchester's Mayor Andy Burnham

Taking place at 1pm in the SU Theatre Lounge (top floor of the Students' Union building).

The Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham will be chatting to the SU's Welfare and Community Officer, Fritha Heaven, about how students can make the most of their time in the city.

This event is aimed at both new and returning students who, due to lockdown, may not have experienced all that Manchester has to offer. Fuse FM's station manager and former Exec Officer Laetitia Alexandratos will host.

Topics of discussion will include:

  • How students can make the most of their time here in Manchester;
  • How the city and the SU support students and consider student issues;
  • The key campaigns at a city and SU level tackling challenges faced by students and local residents;
  • How students can get involved in the Manchester community and make a difference during their time at our University.
