General Assembly election for Professional Services staff Grades 1-5: update

An update on General Assembly election

After the extended deadline, we received two nominations from PS staff grades 1-5, for the one remaining vacancy, and therefore there was a need for a ballot to determine which staff member would be awarded membership. 

Staff (either full-time or part-time) with paid, superannuable appointments at the University, who were Professional Services staff at grades 1-5 were eligible to take part.

Since the ballot was launched, one of the staff members standing is no longer eligible to take part in this particular election, and has therefore withdrawn.

This means that Barinur Rashid is now elected, unopposed, to the General Assembly.
