Manchester Museum announces Little Greene partnership

Manchester Museum has announced Little Greene as the official paint sponsor for its ambitious capital development project, hello future

The once-in-a-generation, £15 million project will see the Museum’s historic building transformed as it becomes more inclusive, imaginative and caring for the diverse communities it serves.

Little Greene will work collaboratively with Manchester Museum and designers, The Artistry House, in the creation of new visitor spaces including a Welcome Area, Shop, Café, Main Hall, Picnic Area and Belonging Gallery.

A new entrance from Oxford Road will lead visitors to the Welcome Area, where spectacular objects will inspire awe and wonder. The Main Hall will be a large, flexible space that can be used for events and hospitality. The new Museum Shop will sell beautiful and sustainable products inspired by the museum’s extraordinary collections. And the Belonging Gallery is a permanent new gallery that will explore themes of belonging and inclusion through comic art.

Little Greene, a specialist in the production of sustainable paint, has established partnerships with a number of heritage organisations including the Whitworth, National Trust and English Heritage.
