Working from home: using display screen equipment safely
14 Jan 2022
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has recently reviewed its guidance on homeworking, and in particular the use of display screen equipment
All staff working from home should complete a DSE (display screen equipment) assessment for their home workstation and should complete our homeworking checklist, if they have not already done so. This can be found in appendix 1 of the University’s Homeworking guidance.
Any issues should be addressed in line with the hybrid working FAQs and the guidance from the HSE:
If any changes have occurred during the pandemic to office DSE workstations, colleagues should also review and update the DSE assessment for their office workstation when they return to campus.
- Further information on DSE Assessment can be obtained from local safety advisors or the Safety Services DSE Toolkit.
