FREE activities at The Manchester Museum on 24 May
Come along to The Manchester Museum on 24 May and take part in a variety of FREE activities as part of Learning At Work Day! The Manchester Museum and the Sports Well-Being team have put together a series of events to promote health and well-being along with the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at the Museum.

You will have to book in advance for some sessions but all events are free of charge.
- CPR & First Aid 11 am-4pm
A taster session where you can try CPR and learn about First Aid. - Blood Pressure Checks 11am-4pm
At the Occupational Health Info stand. - Alexander Technique 11.45am-12.30pm
Become aware of how you use your body everyday, focusing on posture, balance and movement. Please BOOK. - Kundalini Yoga 12.45-1.45pm
Learn techniques to communicate between mind and body. Please BOOK. - Mummifying Oranges 12-1.30pm
Discover the techniques the Egyptians would have used in mummification and try them out on an orange! Please BOOK. - Skull Cleaning 11.45am-1.30pm
Museum staff will demonstrate the skills and techniques involved in cleaning skulls. - Indian Head Massage 11am-4pm
Drop in sessions available all day. - Planetarium 11am, 12, 1.30, 3.30pm
45 minute sessions. Take a look at and learn about the sky at night in Jodrell Bank's inflatable planetarium. Please BOOK. - On The Eighth Day 11am-4pm
Take part in taster sessions and pick up information on healthy eating. - Fair Trade Food 11am-4pm
Try some of the University's Fair Trade Food products and sample Fair Trade red and white wine. With FoodOnCampus. - Mass Campus Walk 12pm
Assemble in the courtyard at the front of the Museum and allow 30-45 minutes. Bring your pedometer and see how many calories you can burn off. - Tours of the Stores 1pm
Take a behind the scenes look at the Museum's meteorites and gemstones and find out about the Museum's research. Please BOOK. - Open Eye Tours 11am, 12, 1, 2, 3pm
Explore the Museum's 15 galleries and immerse yourself in the amazing experience the Museum has to offer. - Resource Centre Preview 11am-4 pm
Take a look at the Museum's new Resource Centre which is open to anyone wanting to do research on objects in the Museum's collection.
