Sustainability Challenge photography competition: open for entries
06 Jan 2022
Encourage your students to take part
The Ethical Grand Challenges annual photo competition is back and looking for student entries! This year, the competition has headed in an exciting new direction with the launch of the very first Sustainability Challenge Photography Competition. This has replaced the Social Justice Photography Competition, which has engaged thousands of students with social justice issues.
The competition offers students a timely opportunity to focus on current sustainability issues which have been highlighted by COP26 and ongoing talks around climate change. As well as engaging students with sustainability, the contest is helping to promote the Sustainability Challenge, an interactive online activity where students across the University learn to think critically about sustainability in a real-world context.
Undergraduate and postgraduate taught students have until Friday, 4 March 2022 to submit a photo and caption which raises awareness of a sustainability issue that’s important to them. As well as receiving cash prizes of up to £200, finalists will also be able to donate to a sustainability charity of their choice.
Please encourage your students to take part and log their commitment to 50,000 Actions – the University’s sustainability initiative. Winners of the competition will be announced at The Making a Difference Awards.
