Car parks update: Christmas/New Year closure plus PAYG scheme launch

Find out about access to campus car parks, plus the launch of the pay as you go scheme
Christmas/New Year car park arrangements
Booth Street West multi-storey car park and Charles Street multi-storey car park will be closed over Christmas, closing at 23.45 on Wednesday, 22 December 2021 and reopening from 6am on Tuesday, 4 January 2022. The barriers at Cecil Street, Dilworth Street and Dover Street car parks will be raised over Christmas. Alternative parking at North Campus is available and staff based at North Campus have been advised separately on parking arrangements.
Pay as you go scheme launch
The pay as you go scheme will launch from Tuesday, 4 January at which point charges will be reinstated for all permit holders. If you have any issues gaining access when you first visit campus in the New Year, please take a ticket or use the intercom to gain entry and then visit the Permit Office in G.002 Beyer Building or call us on 0161 275 2231.
