Selected buildings on campus will require a swipe card to access from Monday 20 December

As the University responds to the latest government guidance and as scheduled teaching finishes on Friday 17 December, the Campus Management Group have agreed that selected buildings as identified by each faculty, will revert to swipe access from Monday 20 December.

This is in the interests of the safety of staff and security of buildings.

Your faculty will advise on local arrangements. Staff (and any students who have access to research facilities etc.) should check that their ID cards are providing swipe access to the relevant academic buildings as required for this period. A range of library and study facilities will remain freely open for students. 

The University will formally close for the festive period at the end of day on Wednesday 22 December.
