Thinking about your next career opportunity, and preparing for it
What is your next career opportunity and are you ready for it?
Whether you are just thinking about developing for your career or actively ready to secure a new role, it is important to plan and prepare.
Staff Learning and Development offers ideas and inspiration to help you consider your career development. We can help you to start to manage your career path and introduce you to tools to help take steps in the right direction.
The Staff Learning and Development Team has curated two key resources for staff, to support with personal and career development planning:
- A Career Development Guide, which contains a selection of career development resources structured to suit your schedule
- Guidance on Creating a Personal Development Plan, which covers how to structure and make the most from development resources
We have also developed an internal Guide to development using the AUA Framework, which provides a wide range of learning ideas and resources for developing your career using the Association of University Administrators (AUA) CPD Framework. This resource include links to courses, articles and videos, as well as on-the-job learning ideas around each element.
Finally, we have a great Career Toolkit available to help you to explore your career preferences, as well as tips on how to get social media savvy and make the most of your networks in your job search.
Whether you have 10 minutes or three hours we have something to help you with your career development. You can access the full range career development resources on offer at the SL&D Career Development webpages.
