Christmas arrangements for pay, payroll deadlines, and recruitment

End of month pay date will be Monday, 20 December 2021
As in past years, the pay day in December for staff who are usually paid at the end of the month will be brought forward, to Monday, 20 December 2021.
As the pay date has been brought forward, so has the payroll deadline date, which is 1 December 2021 to ensure pay within the mid-month or end of month December pay.
Please ensure that PCMs (Post and Contract Management forms), new starter paperwork, casual timesheets, fees, and expense claims are submitted on time, and that any Teaching Assistant contracts are loaded to the Sharepoint site by the payroll deadline to ensure payment in the corresponding payroll.

Last date for submitting job vacancies is Thursday, 2 December 2021
To ensure that we are able to advertise any vacancies before the closure period, the Recruitment Team request that all Recruiting Managers submit any completed documentation by Thursday, 2 December 2021, for the attention of the Recruitment Team at HRServices@manchester.ac.uk.

- HERA profile
- Job advert
- Further particulars
Please be aware that if we do not receive all the completed documentation listed above, we will not be able to post your job advert before the Christmas closure period. We will endeavour to contact you in this event, but this will extend the recruitment timeline for your vacancy.
The Recruitment Team will continue to post adverts throughout December with the last advertisements being posted on Monday, 20 December 2021 by 5pm.
The Recruitment Team will be on hand to offer help and support to the Recruitment Managers until 4 pm on Wednesday, 22 December 2021.
If you intend to advertise with any external providers, don't hesitate to contact the Recruitment Team at HRServices@manchester.ac.uk as soon as possible because external providers' deadlines may also be affected by the Christmas and New Year period.
We recommend that closing dates are set after the University re-opens on Tuesday, 4 January 2022, so that any candidates requiring advice or guidance can speak to a member of staff at the University after the Christmas closure period.
