Amrita's Journey: Preparing the aid system for the Climate Emergency - University Place, 8-12 November
The team behind 'Sounding the Siren', a research collaboration between HCRI, Save the Children and UK-Med, is hosting a walk-through installation at University Place to address, how does a stretched aid system get ready for the climate emergency?
The installation is centred around 'Amrita's Journey', a graphic novel developed as part of the research, which follows Amrita, an aid worker as she considers what does the aid system need to do to adapt to the emerging crisis.
Learn about Amrita’s experiences and her seven key recommendations for world leaders.
As part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science, HCRI, UK-Med and Save the Children-UK are hosting this event to raise awareness of ways the global community can act to ensure the millions of people affected by the climate emergency in the coming years will get the food, shelter and healthcare they need.
