Guidance for staff with caring responsibilities
04 Nov 2021
Our guidance for staff with caring responsibilities has been updated
We know that many of you with caring responsibilities are currently facing additional pressures, especially if your children are not able to attend school if they are unwell with COVID or have to isolate.
These pressures may include:
- Unexpected childcare responsibilities due to COVID-19 implications e.g. children being sent home due to nursery or school closure, limited before or after school care, requirement to isolate due to presenting with COVID-19 symptoms.
- Unexpected carer responsibilities of a dependant e.g. respite care falling through at short notice due to COVID-19 implications.
If you are affected, there are a number of options available to support you.
In the first instance you are advised to speak with your line manager to agree a suitable way forward.
- More information can be found in this updated caring responsibilities guidance.
