Sign up to attend the annual research staff conference

Join us on Monday, 15 November 2021 where we will be discussing research culture and leadership and hearing from some of our research staff excellence award winners

We are delighted that Dr Frances Downey, Head of Research and Innovation Culture at UKRI will join research associate Dr Joan Chang, Vice-President for Research Professor Colette Fagan, research associate Dr Hamied Haroon and PI Professor Sam Hay in a roundtable discussion on ‘What does research culture mean to you… and are we there yet?’

Attendees will also have the opportunity to be inspired by the five minute research pitches from our excellent researcher staff award winners and to attend a how to skills development session. Professor Linda Evans, Humanities Associate Dean for Academic and Research Staff Development will deliver the keynote on Leadership and leaders in research: Outside-the-box thinking.

The conference will close with Dana Gamble from Universities UK asking Professor Melissa Westwood, Associate Vice-President for Research, how our University is using the Researcher Development Concordat to improve our research environment and culture. 

The free event is open to research sfrom all Faculties.
