Turing Institute Funding: Health and Care, Sustainability and Digital Twins

Upcoming 'sandpit' events in November and December
Our University is one of 13 universities working in partnership with The Alan Turing Institute, which is the UK’s national institute for data science and artificial intelligence.
As part of that partnership, the Institute of Data Science and AI (IDSAI), which delivers activity for the Data Science and AI Digital Futures theme, is hosting three ‘sandpit’ events in November and December 2021.
These sandpits are an opportunity for researchers, private, public and third sector to come together and devise research proposals for projects on a range of data science and AI-related topics. A number of proposals developed at the sandpits will be awarded funding to cover research costs for six-month feasibility studies led by a University of Manchester researcher.
If you would like to participate in one of these sandpits or for more information, please view the Eventbrite links:
- Greater Manchester Care Record sandpit | 3-5 November
- Sustainability sandpit | 17-18 November
- Digital Twins sandpit | 1-2 December
If you would like further details on these events, please contact Matthew Harrison.
